In an unexpected turn, progressive metal giants Dream Theater have announced the cancellation of their planned European tour for 2026.

The band will not be bringing their 'An Evening With Dream Theater' show – a celebration of their upcoming album 'Parasomnia' and the classic suite 'A Change Of Seasons' – to Europe or the United Kingdom.

In a brief statement, the band simply mentioned that 'sadly sometimes plans change.' With two European legs on their 40th Anniversary Tour already scheduled for 2024 and 2025, fans in Europe and the UK will have to wait until at least 2027 or 2028 for Dream Theater's return.

Meanwhile, Dream Theater is gearing up for the release of 'Quarantième: Live À Paris', a 40th anniversary concert recording, scheduled for November 28 via Inside Out Music/Sony Music.
