DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy has confirmed that the band's April 22, 2026 concert at Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile will be professionally recorded and filmed for an upcoming Blu-ray release.

This news comes as DREAM THEATER continues to tour in support of their latest album, "Parasomnia", which was released on February 7, 2025 via InsideOut Music.

The album is the follow-up to 2021's "A View From The Top Of The World" and features a mix of old favorites and new material.

With Portnoy returning to the band in October 2023 after a 14-year hiatus, fans have been eager to see how the reunited lineup would sound.

DREAM THEATER kicked off their summer/fall 2025 "An Evening With Dream Theater" tour on September 5, 2025 at Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, and the trek ran through October 25, 2025 when it wrapped in Long Island, New York.

In a recent interview with Australia's May The Rock Be With You, Portnoy spoke about DREAM THEATER's 40th-anniversary tour, which launched in late 2024.

When asked if the milestone put more "pressure" on him and his bandmates or if they treated the tour as "more of a celebration", Mike said: "It's a celebration.

There's no pressure." He went on to describe how surreal it is that DREAM THEATER has been around for 40 years, noting that he was just a teenager when the band started in 1985.

DREAM THEATER played their first concert with Portnoy in 14 years on October 20, 2024 at the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.

The drummer and Petrucci have also been working together outside of DREAM THEATER's framework, with Portnoy guesting on Petrucci's 2020 solo album "Terminal Velocity" and touring together.

Prior to Portnoy's return to DREAM THEATER, the drummer had been out of the band for over a decade, but his chemistry with the rest of the lineup has resulted in some compelling live performances.
