In other news, Drummer Mike Portnoy has confirmed that Dream Theater will begin work on a follow-up album to 2025's Parasomnia this fall.

Portnoy announced via social media: "Well, that's a wrap on Dream Theater's 40th Anniversary World Tour!! Over a year and a half on the road...October 20th, 2024, to May 12th, 2026: 159 Shows in 45 Countries!" The band has completed their historic tour, which saw them perform 159 shows in 45 countries.

Portnoy expressed gratitude towards fans who attended the shows and thanked the crew for their hard work throughout the tour.

Dream Theater will now take a break before reconvening in the studio to start working on another album.
