Black metal legends Emperor have announced the release of an 'Empire Collection' in collaboration with record label and creative house Down With The Most High Productions.
The collection features high-end, custom-made artefacts designed as a permanent physical homage to the band’s visual and musical legacy.
The centerpiece of the release is a life-size Icon E Shield, crafted from die-cut steel and scaled to one-to-one proportions.
The shield bears the iconic 'Icon E' symbol welded to its outer surface, with engraved detailing in darker colors and polished highlights to evoke an authentic historical aesthetic.
The rear side includes an arm handle and an adjustable leather strap, while each shield comes with a unique certificate of authenticity signed by all members of Emperor.
Complementing the shield is an imperial standard banner, measuring sixty-by-seventy centimeters, embroidered in silver-metallic and black on black velvet fabric to depict Emperor’s coat of arms.
The collection also includes high-end jewellery made from 925 sterling silver—such as a seal ring and a pendant featuring the emblematic shield—finished with a black patina and housed in luxurious matte-touch packaging with black velvet lining and hot-foil stamped silver.
A limited-edition coat of arms back patch is available in only one hundred pieces, embroidered with silver metallic thread on high-quality synthetic leather and supplied in a large collectable OBI flap packaging with silver hot-foil accented liner notes.
The items will debut at the Beyond the Gates Festival in Bergen, Norway, in July, where attendees can view the shield’s weight, composition, and packaging at the official Down With The Most High stall.
Daniel Dabadan Gayoso, Founder of Down With The Most High Productions and Curator of the collection, stated: "The production of items for such a legendary band as Emperor was an important task that demanded the use of material that can be considered in line with the majesty and royalty of their music.
Following the examples set in previous collaborations on Celtic Frost and Marduk projects, we decided to make monuments to music that will last forever.
The use of forged steel, sterling silver and velvet will allow us to pay due respect to this symbolism." Down With The Most High Productions, an independent label and production company from Spain, specializes in high-end, niche releases across black, death, and thrash metal.
The company has previously collaborated with artists including Celtic Frost, Tormentor, Possessed, Blasphemy, Beherit, Necromantia, Mystifier, Absu, Imprecation, and Baxaxaxa, emphasizing quality physical product over standard merchandising.
The Emperor collection follows the success of the Celtic Frost and recently announced Marduk collections.
