Norwegian progressive black metal pioneers Enslaved have officially announced their forthcoming studio album, Mið, set for release on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album, an Old Norse word for 'centre' or 'middle', explores themes of origin, balance, and the human condition through a fusion of natural imagery and mythological symbolism.

The band has unveiled the album's next single, 'Tales Of Trees', which draws parallels between the life cycles of trees and the human psyche. The track blends complex progressive structures with searing black metal atmospheres, reflecting the band's ongoing commitment to thematic depth and sonic innovation.

To celebrate the release of Mið, Enslaved will embark on a co-headlining tour across the UK and Europe in February 2027, with Iceland’s Sólstafir as the main support act and Norway’s Gaahls Wyrd providing additional support. The tour includes stops in Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Poland, and Norway.

The tour itinerary begins on February 4 in Berlin and concludes on March 31 in Oslo, with a special album release show at Bergen’s Kulturhuset and a signing session at Oslo Spektrum featuring live performances with Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon. Tickets go on sale on September 25 at 9 AM BST / 10 AM CEST via enslaved.no. The album is available for pre-order in CD jewelcase, CD digipack, and LP gatefold formats with multiple color variants.
