After more than a decade away from the music scene, former BURY YOUR DEAD guitarist Eric Ellis has officially returned with his new band, ELLIS.

The announcement comes with the release of a music video for the song "Manners," marking the beginning of a new chapter in Ellis's musical journey.

Ellis, known for his work on BURY YOUR DEAD's breakout album "Cover Your Tracks" (2004), also contributed to "Beauty And The Breakdown" (2006) and the band's 2008 self-titled record.

He departed BURY YOUR DEAD in August 2008 citing "medical reasons" and "personality differences." In 2012, Ellis was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for conspiracy and violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act as a member of a violent Jacksonville, Florida gang.

Since his release, he has focused on rebuilding his life through music, writing, and recording a new body of work under the name ELLIS.

ELLIS delivers a modern blend of hardcore, metalcore, and groove-driven heavy music, drawing on the experience, aggression, and authenticity forged through lived experience.

The band's first live performance is set for August 1 at Hardlove in Jacksonville, Florida, where they will open the record release show for SOUTHPAW FLHC.

SOUTHPAW FLHC will release their new album, "The Standard," on July 31 through Spinefarm.

This performance marks ELLIS's debut live show and represents a significant return for a respected musician who has fought his way back to the stage."
