Detroit-based band Eva Under Fire has released their latest single, the sonically fierce and lyrically razor-sharp “Murder Scene,” out now via Better Noise Music.
Written by singer and songwriter Amanda Lyberg, who is also a licensed therapist, the song explores themes of eating disorders, body dysmorphia, self-doubt, and how dreams can become nightmares when criticized.
“Murder Scene” follows up to their previous single “Awakening,” released in October 2025 via Better Noise Music.
The band has been on hiatus for two years before releasing new music.
Lyberg drew on her career as a therapist to create an open dialogue among the band members during the recording process.
Her work in therapy started in 2018 when she graduated with a Master of Arts in Psychology degree and went on to work at a mental health clinic in Detroit.
The band will be touring extensively with Jeris Johnson and Butcher Babies, followed by supporting Five Finger Death Punch's “20th Anniversary World Tour 2026.” Their new single is available for stream/download via Better Noise Music.,In addition to their music career, Lyberg is currently practicing psychotherapy specializing in trauma work, grief and loss, and addiction recovery.
Her story turned into a 2023 short film, “My Rockstar,” which used Eva Under Fire music throughout, and has won over 20 awards in several film fests including Orlando Film Fest, Wild Rivers Film Festival, Toronto WILDfilm Festival, and many others.
