When questioned about the status of Evanescence's next album, drummer Will Hunt revealed that the band is on track to release their follow-up to 2021's "The Bitter Truth" this year.
In a recent interview with Mark Strigl, Hunt expressed excitement for fans to hear the new material and praised vocalist Amy Lee for pushing the boundaries of the band's sound.
Despite previous delays due to COVID-19 restrictions, Evanescence has been working on their next album with producers Nick Raskulinecz and Zakk Cervini, with whom they have already completed several tracks.
Hunt emphasized that the band is currently in a "super just energized creatively mode" and is making rapid progress on the new material.
Evanescence has been busy promoting their latest single, "Afterlife," which features in the Netflix series "Devil May Cry." The track was released with the video directed by Chad Stahelski.
Additionally, the band recently completed a tour of Australia and New Zealand, including several shows as the support act for Metallica.
Evanescence's current lineup consists of vocalist Amy Lee, guitarists Tim McCord and Troy McLawhorn, drummer Will Hunt, bassist Emma Anzai, and guitarist John LeCompt is not part of the band.
Their next album promises to be a significant development in their sound and will likely generate much excitement among fans.
