Former Exodus guitarist Rick Hunolt has cause for celebration as he marks his 16th year of sobriety.
The milestone was announced on social media yesterday (January 8), where Hunolt shared a heartfelt message expressing gratitude and hope that the post might help someone else.
DieHumane, the band Hunolt now fronts alongside Joshua Vargas, have also made headlines with their upcoming second full-length record, A Monument To Decay.
Scheduled for an early 2026 release, this album follows DieHumane's 2023 debut release, The Grotesque.
A notable change in the band's lineup is the replacement of former drummer Sal Abruscato with renowned drummer Will Hunt (Evanescence, Static-X).
The new album is being produced and mixed by veteran producer/engineer Ulrich Wild in collaboration with Joshua Vargas.
In an exciting turn of events, DieHumane has collaborated with Jeffrey Nothing on the first single from A Monument To Decay.
According to the band, they wanted to involve other artists they admire in this record, and Nothing's unique style was a natural fit.
The collaboration went beyond a guest appearance, with Nothing contributing significantly to the songwriting process.
Jeffrey Nothing shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that he immediately fell in love with the song.
He contributed multiple versions before the final recording, reflecting on the emotional state portrayed in the lyrics, which mirrored his own experiences during a challenging time in his life.
