Exhorder has bid farewell to drummer Sasha Horn, who joined the band in 2017.
Frontman Kyle Thomas has opened up about Horn's recent departure, revealing that it had been building for quite some time before finally coming to a head.
In an interview with Metal Horror Madman, Thomas explained that Horn just needed a reset in his life.
Horn's decision was not driven by any bad blood or tension within the band, according to Thomas.
"This wasn't a bad parting," he said.
"We've had bad partings in this band, trust me.
And this is not one of them." Thomas stressed that Horn needed time to focus on his family and personal life.
Corey Pierce of God Forbid has stepped in as the temporary drummer for Exhorder's upcoming tour.
Thomas praised Pierce's credentials and abilities, citing his experience with jazz-style drumming and his ability to read sheet music.
However, he acknowledged that Horn was a skilled punk-style drummer who brought a unique flavor to the band.
The tour kicks off on April 2 at 123 Pleasant Street in Morgantown, WV and wraps up on April 19 at The Venue in Cadillac, MI.
Fans can catch Exhorder live with Corey Pierce filling the drum seat.
