California influential alt-metal act FAITH NO MORE is teasing a possible return to the live stage for next year.
The band shared an image on its social media channels featuring the eight-pointed star logo and "2027" super-imposed over a picture of a live crowd.
This move comes after Brazilian entertainment company 30e announced a global deal with FAITH NO MORE for their future global tours.
"We're willing to get behind [30e's] approach, which doesn't feel like the usual machinery," said FAITH NO MORE in a statement.
However, the band's return is uncertain as they haven't played a concert since 2016 and have been on hiatus since October 2024.
Even if they do decide to tour again, their future shows may be affected by lead singer Mike Patton's mental health issues and his reluctance to perform with them.
As of July 2022, Patton told Rolling Stone: "We may reschedule stuff; we may not." The band's drummer Bill Gould expressed uncertainty about the band's current situation in January 2025, saying: "I don't know myself." FAITH NO MORE's future plans remain unclear, and fans can only hope that they will one day return to the live stage.
