In a recent interview with Audacy radio host Abe Kanan, Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory shared updates on the band's songwriting and recording sessions for their upcoming album.

The guitarist revealed that they have around 25 songs in the works, with only two or three of them featuring vocals so far.

They plan to head into a proper studio in February to continue working on the material.

When asked about the musical direction of the new album, Zoltan described it as having a "little bit of a soundtrack quality," adding that none of their songs are concept-based, but they aim for a certain vibe.

The band has been touring extensively, and their latest announcement includes a massive 48-city trek across North America with platinum-certified outlaw country musician Cody Jinks as special guest.

The tour will feature new material from their upcoming album alongside fan-favorite anthems.

International tour dates are expected to be announced following the completion of this leg.

In related news, Five Finger Death Punch has been discussing their original masters being sold without their knowledge or consent.

Their recent albums, 'Best Of - Volume 1' and 'Best Of - Volume 2', feature re-recorded versions of some of their biggest hits.
