Veteran rock bassist Flea, best known as a founding member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is set to release his debut solo album 'Honora' on March 27, 2026 via Nonesuch Records.

The album features a collaboration with Thom Yorke on the track 'Traffic Lights', which is available now along with a visualizer.

Flea and the HONORA band will embark on an international tour in May, playing intimate venues in select cities.

For 'Honora', Flea has assembled a stellar lineup of modern jazz visionaries including album producer and saxophonist Josh Johnson, guitarist Jeff Parker, bassist Anna Butterss, and drummer Deantoni Parks.

The record features vocals from Flea, Thom Yorke, Nick Cave, among others.

'Traffic Lights' was initially developed by Deantoni Parks and Flea, who describes it as reminiscent of Atoms for Peace.

Flea sent the rhythm to Thom Yorke, who related to its sensibility and contributed a gorgeous melody and lyrics reflecting on navigating a world filled with 'fake shit' and 'real shit'.

Flea's passion for jazz was ignited as a child when he experienced live performances in his own home.

Despite his success with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea's initial dream was to emulate Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Clifford Brown.

However, his musical journey took a different turn when Hillel Slovak asked him to join his rock band at age sixteen.

In 1991, during the height of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' success, Flea found himself acting in Gus Van Sant's 'My Own Private Idaho'.

It was then that he expressed a desire to create an instrumental record with deep hypnotic grooves and trippy melodies.

After nearly two decades, Flea decided to revive his trumpet playing skills to make this album.
