Nightwish vocalist and solo artist Floor Jansen has returned with her new single, “Run,” via REVAMP Music / Warner Music.
Released after a sold-out theatre tour and strong streaming success of nearly 150 million streams across her solo catalogue, the track marks the beginning of a powerful new solo chapter.
The single reveals a heavier, darker side of Floor's solo sound, combining down-tuned guitars with layered vocals and distinct vocal power.
Produced by Gordon Groothedde, who previously worked with Floor on After Forever’s final album before her years with Nightwish, “Run” retains the melodic clarity and direct songwriting of her solo work.
The track focuses on themes of liberation, self-empowerment, and refusing to disappear into someone else's expectations.
In a statement, Floor explains that "To me, 'Run' is about no longer making yourself smaller to fit into a shape that was never yours.
It's about taking off the mask, trusting your own movement, and daring to be seen that way." With “Run,” Floor Jansen opens an extensive creative phase leading into further new music and her return to the international live circuit.
Her recent track lays the foundation for a series of upcoming releases, including her return to international club stages with a full band on the Hytress Tour 2027.
The tour kicks off in Antwerp, Belgium on January 14th and will visit various cities around the world.
