Napalm Records has announced the signing of enigmatic folk duo Tabernis to their first deal with the Austrian label.

The partnership will see the release of Tabernis’ debut album, Seasons Of The Dark Hive, due out April 24.

Born from a passion for history, the album invites listeners on an immersive journey into medieval times, brought to life through bagpipes, davul, and ritualistic soundscapes.

Blending ancient tradition with dark mysticism, Tabernis weave haunting harmonies inspired by the delicate art of beekeeping.

The signing marks a major milestone for the duo, who have already appeared at festivals such as Wacken and Summer Breeze Open Air following their debut EP.

Seasons Of The Dark Hive promises to reveal more of the band’s secrets to a rapidly growing audience.

Tabernis on the signing:

“The hum crossed the veil. From age to age, carried by breath and memory, the Dark Hive endured. Tabernis does not follow a path; it resonates. What was once whispered now moves as one again. Recognizing this living ritual, Napalm Records joins the Dark Hive, carrying the hum beyond its origin.”

Napalm Records A&R Nadir Amrioui adds:

“Some frequencies are not sought; they find you. When the first pulse of Tabernis reached us, we recognized more than just music—we found a purpose. Napalm Records does not act as a mere partner, but as a sounding board for the Dark Hive and Tabernis.”

The album will be available in multiple formats, including a limited-edition white label version. Pre-orders are available via the Napalm Records website.
