Formed at the turn of the millennium, Finnish metal band For My Pain...
has captivated dark-hued romance enthusiasts with their powerful and immersive music.
Their long-awaited comeback album, Buried Blue, was released today after meticulous crafting without unnecessary haste.
Vocalist Juha KylmĂ€nen revealed the band's simultaneous endeavors during production: 'Building a studio, resurrecting a band, starting a company and a record label while making an album â thatâs exactly what we did! Artistically, it was enjoyable, even easy.
However, dealing with the technical aspects was another story.' 'Still, the sense of unity and joy kept us focused.
Buried Blue is a testament to what an amazing group can achieve together.
Its release into the nocturnal moonlight it deserves fills me with excitement,' KylmÀnen described.
Several singles were released in advance from Buried Blue, including 'Recoil Into Darkness,' 'WitchBitch Elite,' 'Time Will Heal Our Wounds,' and 'Windows Are Weeping' featuring Nightwishâs Troy Donockley.
The band also treated fans to a cover of Tehosekoitinâs Finnish hit âHetken Tie On Kevytâ.
For My Pain...
handled the entire album production process by themselves, except mixing and mastering.
KylmÀnen recorded the album in the band's own Whiteleaf Studios in Oulu.
Mixing was done by Mikko Karmila at Finnvox Studios, and mastering in Stockholm Mastering by Sofia von Hage & Thomas Eberger.
