In a recent interview with Shawn Ratches of Laughingmonkeymusic, FORBIDDEN guitarist Craig Locicero discussed the progress of the band's upcoming studio album.
The follow-up to 2010's 'Omega Wave' is being recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California with engineer/co-producer Zack Ohren.
According to Locicero, drums have been completed and guitar, vocal, solo, and mixing sessions will ensue over the next couple of weeks.
The new album is expected to release in the second quarter of 2026.
FORBIDDEN drummer Chris Kontos has laid down tracks for eight original tunes, with one secret cover song also recorded.
VOIVOD guitarist Daniel 'Chewy' Mongrain was replaced by Jeremy Von Epp prior to recording the new album.
Forbidden's lineup now includes Locicero, longtime bassist Matt Camacho, singer Norman Skinner, Kontos, and Smyth who rejoined the band in 2023 under the TWISTED INTO EVIL banner.
