Jay Weinberg, the former drummer of Slipknot, announced his departure from Suicidal Tendencies after nearly two years with the California-based crossover thrash/hardcore punk band.

In an Instagram post, Weinberg shared photos from his tenure and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform with one of his favorite bands.

Weinberg's departure comes as he focuses on family life and personal projects, with a new child on the way and various collaborations in the works.

He praised the band members and crew, expressing love and respect for them.

Suicidal Tendencies' lineup also includes Mike Muir (vocals), Dean Pleasants (lead guitar), Ben Weinman (rhythm guitar from The Dillinger Escape Plan), and Tye Trujillo (son of Metallica's Robert Trujillo on bass).

Weinberg played his first concert with Suicidal Tendencies in Osaka, Japan, in March 2024, just months after being announced as the new drummer for Infectious Grooves.
