Canadian guitar legend Frank Marino will make a long-awaited return to the stage at Montreal's ItalfestMTL celebration on August 7.

The free outdoor concert, part of the city's Italian heritage festival, marks Marino's first live performance in many years.

In a recent interview with Metal Voice, Marino shared his excitement about reprising his iconic guitar work and performing for fans once more.

"When they asked me to do it," Marino explained, referring to ItalfestMTL organizers, "I thought about my Dad and how proud he would be...

So yeah I am coming out of semi-retirement." The guitarist has since clarified that while he's not ruling out future shows, his touring days are behind him.

Marino's return to the stage comes as part of a growing announcement wave surrounding his music.

Bangalore Choir have also unveiled their latest album, Rapid Fire Succession: On Target Part II, on BraveWords Records.
