Italian power metallers Frozen Crown have shared a new video with the following introduction:,“Searching for inspiration for our new album! After playing in Italy last summer we had to stop to the famous Parco dei Mostri di Bomarzo (Park of Monsters of Bomarzo, maybe?) to show our guitarist Aleksandra some of the most unique Italian scenarios.
Well, actually also Alessia and Niso had never seen Bomarzo before, because of their age.
Oh well, actually neither Jade and Ikki did, because they’re from Veneto / Friuli.
Okay, in short: only Federico had already seen this place multiple times so he decided it was the right time for all the Frozen Crown members to get to this place and breathe some of the magical, mystical air surrounding the enigmatic sculptures.
The fact the video itself was edited by Aleksandra makes even easier for a non-Italian to get a nice POV of how it is to visit this place for the first time.” Previously, Frozen Crown shared an acoustic cover of Blind Guardian's “Mirror Mirror:,“It was 2020, right after our tour as special guests for Dragonforce.
The only Frozen Crown members left were Jade and Federico (the founding duo), dealing with a 17 years-old Niso (young but already extremely talented) to have him join the band.
We had to rebuild our band from scratch, literally.
During that period, Jade kept flirting with the idea of covering her favourite song ever from her favourite metal band ever, a song she would have loved to cover since forever.
We started laying down the basic arrangement and actually recorded some guitars, but then our third album, Winterbane, recordings kept us so busy that we unfortunately had to drop down the project, to prioritize our own song and to focus on that album promotion.
Since then, we worked 24/7 on the band as you know, day by day, but we always cherished this cover and the idea to finally be able to record it someday.
And then that day came.,Simply our favourite metal song ever.
Arranged, performed and recorded in our way.
Acoustic version? Folk version? Bluegrass version? Again, just our way (Federico’s Southern roots might factor a little here).
For your interest, in this song there are up to 6 acoustic guitar layers, 1 bass track, and up to 12 vocal tracks (where you see 6 people in the chorus, keep in mind that each track was actually sung twice).”,Jade comments: “This is one of the most significant songs in my life, for my growth as a musician and as a Tolkien lover.
Today I’m proud to share with you this interpretation me and Federico worked on, and to me it is literally a dream coming true.
I hope you enjoy it, you will find of my heart in it.”,"Prophets Of Addiction is a modern day Hanoi Rocks meets The 69 Eyes with plenty of Pop hooks and Whisky drenched vocals." - Metal Sludge.
