New Jersey death metal lifers Funebrarum have announced their long-awaited third full-length album, Beckoning the Void of Eternal Silence, set to arrive on May 29 via Pulverised Records.
This marks the band's first new material in seven years and is described as their most fully realized work to date.
The record sees the underground stalwarts return with a crushing release rooted firmly in the late-'80s and early-'90s tradition of cavernous, doom-laden death metal.
In an official statement, Funebrarum expressed excitement over sharing their new album with fans worldwide, saying "We are proud of the work overall and the final result." The five-piece band has crafted their signature suffocating atmosphere at its most ominous on this release.
It was tracked between Portland, Oregon and Edison, New Jersey, alongside engineer Steven Di Acutis.
The band has unveiled a new single from the album called "Anhela Odor Mortuorum (The Adepts)", which is described as a killer track that they enjoy playing live.
