In a new interview with V and Metalhead Fred of Creativity Talkin, ex-QUEENSRŸCHE singer Geoff Tate spoke about the possibility of performing all three chapters in the band's classic "Operation: Mindcrime" album series.

He explained that it would be difficult to play everything he ever wrote, but expressed a desire to do a concert series featuring different songs from his discography.

The upcoming tour will see Tate perform with his solo band and record "Operation: Mindcrime III", which is set for release on May 3.

The album's first single, "Power", will be made available on March 20.

Tate discussed the writing process for "Operation: Mindcrime III" in an interview with the "Let There Be Talk" podcast, revealing that he wrote music and lyrics for the album while touring around the world.

His writing partner, Kieran Robertson, contributed to the record's sound and content.

The album was produced by John Moyer of DISTURBED.

The original "Operation: Mindcrime" album weaved themes of religion, drug abuse and underground radical politics.

A sequel, "Operation: Mindcrime II", was released in 2006 but received mixed reviews from fans and critics.

Tate spoke about his desire to explore the character of Dr.

X, who features prominently in both "Operation: Mindcrime" albums.

He expressed a sense of timelessness with the story's themes, feeling that they continue to resonate with listeners today.

A settlement was reached between Tate and QUEENSRŸCHE in 2014 after a nearly two-year legal battle over the rights to the band's name.

The agreement allowed Tate to perform "Operation: Mindcrime" and "Operation: Mindcrime II" live, while maintaining control over his own solo work.

Tate has released several albums with his solo band since leaving QUEENSRŸCHE in 2012, including "Queensrÿche", "Condition Hüman", "The Verdict" and "Digital Noise Alliance".
