In a new interview with Tomasz Michalski of Poland's MetalSide, legendary guitarist George Lynch opened up about why he continues to perform under the LYNCH MOB banner.

Despite announcing the band's farewell tour in 2025 and stating that he would no longer record or perform under that name due to its racial insensitivity in 2020, Lynch revealed that he has had a change of heart.

In an interview transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET, he explained: 'I think what it is, is I was, like most of us, built and raised to work.

I have this work ethic that I was taught from my father, and working since I was like eight years old, just whatever, every single job on the planet you can imagine.' Lynch went on to discuss how he has been able to maintain a successful career under the LYNCH MOB banner, citing the band's long history and his own legacy as key factors.

He also revealed that he is currently working on new music with vocalist Andrew Freeman and drummer Brian Tichy, who were part of his most recent touring entity, GEORGE LYNCH & THE MOB.
