Terry Glaze, the original vocalist of PANTERA, spoke to Rexx Ruger of the Pod Scum podcast about his time with the legendary metal band.

Prior to Philip Anselmo's arrival, Glaze fronted the band during their early'-'80s "party metal" phase and sang on the first three albums.

Glaze reflected on what it was like being in a band with Dimebag Darrell Abbott and Vinnie Paul, stating that they were always "big, lovable rock and roll animals." When asked about PANTERA's heavier sound on their 1990 album "Cowboys From Hell," Glaze mentioned that he wasn't aware of the musical direction at the time.

The vocalist went on to express his enthusiasm for seeing the band's early output reissued, stating that it would be amazing for fans to hear more Darrell's playing.

However, PANTERA bassist Rex Brown has previously dismissed the idea of re-releasing those early albums, calling them "shit" and stating that they were not part of the band's history without Anselmo's involvement.

In a separate interview with Eonmusic, Glaze spoke about his experiences meeting and forming a band with Dimebag and Vinnie.

He also discussed his thoughts on PANTERA's current comeback tour, feeling that it would be difficult to see the band without Eddie Van Halen, but acknowledging that it was good for fans to celebrate the music and get together.

Glaze went on to share memories of Darrell's 2004 death, stating that he still remembers being in disbelief when hearing about the guitarist's passing.

He also recalled attending the funeral and celebrating with fellow band members afterwards.
