The televised 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony failed to honor late Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, sparking outrage among fans and fellow musicians.

Hinds passed away last summer in a traffic accident in Atlanta, Georgia.

Inez took to Instagram to express his frustration with the omission, writing, “BIG party foul Grammys for forgetting the MIGHTY Brent Hinds in the In Memoriam.” Mastodon shared their own tribute message following news of their former bandmate's passing.

They asked fans and media to respect everyone's privacy during this difficult time.
