The Recording Academy / GRAMMYs YouTube channel has shared official professionally filmed video of a special tribute to the late rock icon Ozzy Osbourne at this month's Grammy Awards.
The performance features Post Malone alongside GUNS N' ROSES members Slash and Duff McKagan, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith, and producer Andrew Watt playing a cover of BLACK SABBATH's classic "War Pigs." Kelly, Sharon and Jack Osbourne appeared visibly emotional during the tribute to their beloved father.
The "War Pigs" performance was part of the annual "In Memoriam" segment at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where the Recording Academy paid tribute to those who are no longer with us.
Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark and Lukas Nelson also participated in the tribute by singing "Trailblazer." The ceremony was hosted by Trevor Noah and broadcast live on CBS television network, with full episodes available to stream on Paramount+.
Last September, a separate Osbourne all-star tribute took place at the MTV Video Music Awards, featuring AEROSMITH's Steven Tyler and British singer Yungblud playing three songs, including BLACK SABBATH covers.
Ozzy died last July at the age of 76 due to a heart attack, with his death certificate listing coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease as contributing factors.
His private funeral was held on July 31, 2025, attended by around 110 friends and family members, including his BLACK SABBATH bandmates Robert Trujillo (METALLICA), Rob Zombie, Zakk Wylde, Marilyn Manson and Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT).
Thousands of fans gathered in Birmingham to pay tribute to Ozzy the day before his funeral.
Last year, Ozzy reunited with the rest of the original BLACK SABBATH lineup – guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward — for what would be his final performance at the "Back To The Beginning" charity concert in Birmingham.
At this show, Ozzy played a five-song set with his solo band before being joined by Iommi, Butler and Ward for four classic BLACK SABBATH songs.
His last solo performance consisted of seven songs from his 1980 solo debut album "Blizzard Of Ozz", along with his 1991 ballad "Mama, I'm Coming Home." Ozzy was overcome with emotion during his final show and thanked the crowd from the bottom of his heart.
