Green Lung has released their long-anticipated fourth album, Necropolitan, available now via Nuclear Blast Records. The album draws on the occult, folklore, and heavy music traditions of London, with its title referencing the seven Victorian-era garden cemeteries surrounding the city. The band confirmed the release in a statement, expressing gratitude to fans who preordered or promoted the album.

Produced by Tom Dalgety of Opeth and Ghost, Necropolitan was recorded live at Rockfield Studios in January 2026, capturing the band's raw, Sabbath-inspired sound. The recording process emphasized live instrumentation, including frenzied Hammond organ and haunting Mellotrons, resulting in a sonically distinct and heavy album that builds on their previous works, Woodland Rites, Black Harvest, and This Heathen Land.

A music video for the album's first track, "Dance To The Grave," has been released. The video features animation by Joseph Brett of Jackdaw Films, based on artwork by Richard Wells. The song addresses the intersection of far-right politics, technology, and the climate crisis through its aggressive riffs and chant-along sections.
