In a new interview with Gear4music Guitars, HALESTORM guitarist Joe Hottinger addressed singer Lzzy Hale's recent comments publicly acknowledging the two musicians' ongoing over-two-decades-long romantic relationship.

He said, "Most people [already] knew [about it].

We didn't even think about it.", when asked about his bandmates' relationship.

This comes after a conversation with Katherine Turman at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, where Lzzy publicly acknowledged her 22-year relationship with Joe during an acoustic performance.

The couple has been open about their romance, but according to Hottinger, "We didn't even think about it" when discussing how their long-term partnership affects their bandmates.

In a similar conversation last April at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California, Lzzy told the audience: "Just to throw another wrench into the works, for those of you who have just met us, I know there's a lot of different dynamics and things, but Joe and I are together, and we have been for 22 years.".

Hottinger also discussed how he and his girlfriend communicate effectively, saying, "I don't know what the secrets are.

The only thing we do, we communicate — we're very good communicators." This interview comes after a lengthy period of speculation surrounding the couple's relationship, with band bassist Josh Smith confirming rumors in an October 2015 radio interview.

Lzzy herself addressed the topic during a Twitter session in April 2020, stating she had "never had the desire" to get married, but was living a "new modern love".

This public conversation marks a significant moment for the couple and their bandmates, following a long-standing rumor that Lzzy and Joe were involved in a romantic relationship.
