Finnish melancholic death/doom metallers Hanging Garden have revealed details of their new studio album, Isle Of Bliss, set for release on March 20 via Agonia Records.

The seven-piece band has premiered a music video for the opening track, “To Outlive The Nine Ravens,” offering a darker, more sinister take on their signature sound.

Their ninth album leans into a heavier aesthetic, with more forceful drum and guitar work creating a denser, more intense sonic experience. While synths and lush vocal layers remain, they now share space with a sharper, more aggressive edge.

Isle Of Bliss was recorded across several studios in southern Finland by the band, with drums tracked at D-Studios in Klaukkala by Jarno Hänninen. Mixing and mastering were handled by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Opeth, Moonspell, Ghost), while the album artwork was created by Kalle Pyyhtinen (Children of Bodom).

The band comments: “This time we decided to take a more conscious step toward a more bare-bones composition on the new songs, supporting the darker and perhaps more ferocious side of our music.” They also praised Gomez for delivering the sound they were aiming for.
