Former MY DYING BRIDE frontman Aaron Stainthorpe's new band HIGH PARASITE has released a new single, 'Drag Me Under', which was originally intended for their debut album 'Forever We Burn'.
The UK-based 'death pop' outfit will now perform the track live as part of their current tour, which includes dates in Ireland and the Netherlands.
The band's first headline London outing takes place tonight at The Lexington.
HIGH PARASITE's bassist/vocalist Danny 'Tombs' Lambert explained that the song has a distinct RAMMSTEIN vibe, which was why it was held back for their second album.
However, with the band currently in the recording process for their sophomore effort, they've decided to release the track now.
'Drag Me Under' arrives as part of HIGH PARASITE's current tour schedule and is available now alongside other tracks from their debut LP.
HIGH PARASITE consists of Aaron Stainthorpe on vocals, Danny 'Tombs' Lambert on bass/vocals, Sam Hill on rhythm guitar, Jonny Hunter on lead guitar, and Dan Brown on drums.
The band's debut album was produced by Gregor Mackintosh of PARADISE LOST and features a blend of metal, gothic rock, and dark synth-pop elements.
In related news, HIGH PARASITE bassist/vocalist Danny 'Tombs' Lambert has addressed speculation about his involvement with the band potentially conflicting with his work in MY DYING BRIDE.
Lambert clarified that he and Stainthorpe had a clear understanding of their respective schedules and commitments.
