Swedish death metallers HYPOCRISY have officially canceled their scheduled August 2026 North American tour, citing 'visa issues' beyond their control.

The tour, originally set to launch on August 10 in Toronto, Ontario, and conclude on August 23 in Los Angeles, California, was to feature full headline sets and major support appearances from DIMMU BORGIR.

In a social media statement released Monday, August 3, the band expressed their disappointment: "Due to visa issues beyond our control, we won't be able to make it to the North American tour. We're devastated, and truly sorry — we did everything we could. We're not giving up.

We'll keep working to make this right and get to you as soon as we can! Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support! If you have questions about refunds, please contact your original ticket seller."

The band currently consists of Peter Tägtgren (vocals), Mikael Hedlund (bass), guitarist Thomas Elofsson (session member since 2013), and session drummer Henrik Axelsson (joined in 2022)."
