Finnish melodeath band I Am Your God has released a cover of Sentenced's "Farewell" via Out Of Line Music. The single is part of the upcoming EP Foregods, set for release on November 20, 2026. The release date coincides with the 21st anniversary of Sentenced's final show at Club Teatria in Oulu, Finland, on October 1, 2005.

The cover honors Sentenced's legacy, a band known for its melodic, melancholic sound and theatrical farewell. "Farewell" is taken from Sentenced's 2005 swansong The Funeral Album and was selected by I Am Your God vocalist Julius Vetämäjärvi for the Foregods project. He cited Sentenced's unique blend of mood, style, and narrative as a key influence.

Foregods features five tracks, each drawn from one of five foundational bands in I Am Your God's musical DNA: Children Of Bodom, In Flames, Sentenced, Dissection, and Iron Maiden. Each member contributed one song, creating a tribute that also reflects the band's artistic identity.

The EP includes "Are You Dead Yet?" by Children Of Bodom, "The Evil That Men Do" by Iron Maiden, and the Sentenced cover of "Farewell". The release marks a significant moment in Finnish metal history, acknowledging the impact of early extreme metal pioneers.
