Igorrr will embark on a month-long headlining tour across North America this fall.
The French experimental metal project, led by mastermind Gautier Serre, will kick off their journey on September 18th in Worcester, Massachusetts and run through October 20th in Toronto, Ontario.
Supporting Igorrr on the tour will be American experimentalists Secret Chiefs 3, led by guitarist/composer Trey Spruance (Mr.
Bungle) and Osaka-based experimental electronic black metal group VMO (Violent Magic Orchestra).
The tour announcement comes as Igorrr prepares to release their fifth album, Amen, via Metal Blade Records.
The album, which is set to drop in the fall, marks a new direction for the project with its darker tone and more weighty sound design.
"We've been waiting to come back to the US for a long time now," Serre explained in an interview.
"The last tour was so intense that we've been extremely impatient for the opportunity to play for the people there again." The album will feature tracks like 'Blastbeat Falafel,' and 'ADHD,' which contrast with the ambient heaviness found on other songs.
Igorrr's sound has evolved significantly since their 2020 opus Spirituality And Distortion, which reached No.
12 on the official German album chart.
Serre stated that his process for creating music is refined over time through a cumulation of life events and musical influences.
The tour will see Igorrr perform with their full group identity, consisting of Gautier Serre - machines, Jb Le Bail - vocals, Marthe Alexandre - vocals, Remi Serafino - drums, and Martyn ClΓ©ment - guitars.
Tickets are now available for the tour and can be purchased on Igorrr's website.
