IRON MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith has spoken about the band's upcoming feature documentary, titled "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition", which will hit theaters on May 7, 2026.

The film will showcase the band's five-decade journey through exclusive interviews with prominent admirers, including Javier Bardem and Lars Ulrich.

This new development marks a significant milestone in the band's history, which has seen them grow from their humble beginnings in East London to one of the world's most influential rock bands.

With over 100 million records sold and almost 2,500 live concerts across 64 countries under their belt, IRON MAIDEN continues its two-year "Run For Your Lives" world tour.

In an interview with Igor Miranda of Rolling Stone Brasil, Adrian Smith reflected on the film's narrative, stating: "It's lovely to have a document, personally, to look back and have it laid out in the film." He also touched on his own experiences with the band, mentioning that he has worked hard to contribute to their success.

Additionally, Smith discussed the recently announced book 'Iron Maiden: Infinite Dreams - The Official Visual History', which chronicles the evolution of the band through unparalleled input from band members and management.

Directed by Malcolm Venville ("Churchill At War") and produced by Dominic Freeman ("Spirits In The Forest - A Depeche Mode Film"), "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition" charts IRON MAIDEN's remarkable five-decade journey.

The film is part of over 50 shows worldwide in 2026, including a homecoming performance at London Stadium and a unique celebration named EddFest in historic Knebworth Park, England, on July 11.
