Jason Richardson Leaves ALL THAT REMAINS Following 'Unhappy Business Experience'

In a recent interview with Guitar World, Jason Richardson reflected on his nearly seven-year tenure with metal legends ALL THAT REMAINS.

When asked about exiting the band in July after more than six years of service, Richardson replied that it was “kind of,\u2020 but not\u2025 difficult to leave the group.

He attributed his departure to “unhappy business experience,\u2021 citing issues with management and delays surrounding their tenth studio album, “Antifragile,\u2021 released in 2025.

Despite his departure, Richardson maintains a positive relationship with guitarist Oli Herbert's replacement, Ken Susi, who joined the band as his own replacement in January.,Richardson grew up in Manassas, Virginia, surrounded by instruments courtesy of his musician father.

He began cutting lawns and taking odd jobs to purchase his dream seven-string instrument at age 14.

Richardson developed his inventive technique while playing with local bands GALLOWS HILL and later ALL SHALL PERISH.

After auditioning for the latter and winning a spot on their tour, he left high school early to join BORN OF OSIRIS as lead guitarist in February 2009.,Richardson went on to play with CHELSEA GRIN until his departure in 2015, following which he launched a crowdfunding campaign for his debut solo album.

After reaching his goal and releasing “The I,\u2021 Richardson joined ALL THAT REMAINS after the passing of their original guitarist Oli Herbert in late 2018.,His follow-up album was released in the summer of 2022, featuring Luke Holland on drums and a guest spot from POLYPHIA's Tim Henson.

Since departing ALL THAT REMAINS, Richardson has collaborated with artists including FALLING IN REVERSE, POLYPHIA, AUGUST BURNS RED, VEIL OF MAYA, and WITHIN DESTRUCTION.
