Legendary vocalist John Bush has been open to revisiting his time with ANTHRAX in the future.

In a recent appearance on SiriusXM's 'Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk', Bush mentioned that he'd like to do more solo shows featuring his former band's material, particularly in Europe.

This sentiment aligns with his past experiences touring Europe extensively during his tenure with ANTHRAX.

"Bush's comments came after a series of live concerts he performed in the U.S.

last December, where he showcased songs from all four albums he recorded with ANTHRAX: 'Sound Of White Noise', 'Stomp 442', 'Volume 8: The Threat Is Real' and 'We've Come For You All'.

The vocalist was joined by his CATEGORY 7 bandmates Phil Demmel (guitar), Mike Orlando (guitar) and Jason Bittner (drums), as well as Joey Vera on bass.

"Bush discussed the possibility of future ANTHRAX-era solo shows, stating, 'I would like to do some stuff, especially in Europe.

Every album I made with ANTHRAX, I toured Europe, and it would be a shame not to go there and at least play a handful of shows.' "CATEGORY 7's bassist Jack Gibson was unable to make the gig due to scheduling conflicts, but Bush praised the rest of his backing band for their hard work and dedication.

He noted that playing ANTHRAX material brought back memories of past performances and even songs that weren't frequently played live.

"Bush also touched on CATEGORY 7's plans, expressing enthusiasm about creating new music with the group.

When asked about a potential follow-up album to their self-titled debut release via Metal Blade Records in July 2024, Bush stated, 'We talked about making a record...

I think it would be cool just to make it seem like it wasn't just a one and done.' "Bush acknowledged that creating new music with CATEGORY 7 was a process that required some time and reflection.

He emphasized his appreciation for the band's talents and expressed optimism about their future plans.

"Bush has been a key figure in ANTHRAX's history, having fronted the group between 1992 and 2005 before being replaced by Joey Belladonna.

The vocalist has since gone on to work with ARMORED SAINT and CATEGORY 7.
