ICED EARTH founder Jon Schaffer has released the official music video for the track “Molon Labe” from his recently issued album “Sons Of Liberty - Thought Crimes (Volumes 1 & 2)”.
The video, created by DazVideos, is a reimagining of Schaffer's most unflinching work.
It features thunderous drums by Mark Prator and a cutting-edge modern mix by Jim Morris.
The album was originally crafted with programmed drums to minimize costs, but the new release gives these tracks the sonic power they deserve.
The track presents a historical look at defiance and individual liberty, inspired by King Leonidas and his elite royal guard of 300 Spartans during the Battle Of Thermopylae (480 BC).
Schaffer comments: “Molon Labe” is a song that I wrote and recorded in 2011.
The song is dedicated to Leonidas and his actions have become a legendary symbol of courage, discipline, and self-sacrifice against an overwhelming force.\u202FThe album features 15 tracks with themes ranging from financial systems to individual liberty.
It's a universal wake-up call championing freedom as the bedrock of peace and prosperity for every person on the planet.
The system has tried to silence this music because it speaks uncomfortable truths, but you cannot cancel the spirit of liberty.
The video is out now on all streaming platforms, inviting listeners everywhere to discover its urgency.
For collectors, a special physical rollout will arrive via The Circle Music on July 4, 2026."
