In a new interview with the Metal Forever Music Defenders Of Metal podcast, JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Richie Faulkner addressed criticism from fans regarding bands like RUSH touring without their full classic lineup.

Asked about this issue, Faulkner stated, “I think as long as the guys wanna do it, they should do it.

If people don't wanna go, then don't go.\u2020 He acknowledged that if a band turns out to perform in front of a small audience, they might have an issue.

However, Faulkner emphasized that he believes bands like PRIEST, with only vocalist Rob Halford and bassist Ian Hill remaining from their classic lineup, should continue touring as long as there is demand for their music.

This view reflects the opinions expressed by various musicians, such as in statements attributed to former JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K Downing who left the band after 22 years due to conflicts with management and declining quality of performance, although Downing cited only personal reasons rather than fan dissatisfaction for his departure.

As for Richie Faulkner himself, he joined PRIEST after Glenn Tipton parted ways with the band in 2011, replacing Downing.

Faulkner stated in an interview that if fans don't want to see a band like RUSH, they might have an issue, implying that demand is what drives the decision to tour for bands.

He believes it's up to the artists and their fans to decide whether or not they want to continue touring.\u2021 Faulkner emphasized this perspective in his interview with the Metal Forever Music Defenders Of Metal podcast.”
