Kai Hansen has released the second single from his upcoming solo album, Born With A Hammer.
The track, 'Welcome To Life,' follows 'Feeding The Beast' and highlights the album's diverse blend of heavy metal, punk and rock'n'roll.
The song explores themes of embracing life as it is, with lyrics emphasizing acceptance and making the most of what one has.
Produced by Eike Freese, Kai Hansen and Alexander Dietz, the album features contributions from Heaven Shall Burn’s Alexander Dietz on bass, Carcass drummer Dan Wilding, and Induction guitarist Tim Hansen.
Born With A Hammer was recorded across ten tracks and showcases Hansen’s personal musical direction, distinct from his work with Helloween and Gamma Ray.
The official lyric video features a Mustang navigating a hell-tinged, dynamic landscape that mirrors the song’s shifting rhythms and sense of freedom.
The album is set for release with pre-orders available via official links.
Available formats include CD Digipak, black LP gatefold and limited picture disc LP.
The tracklist comprises 'Feeding The Beast,' 'Welcome To Life,' 'Don’t Care,' 'Wait And See,' 'Born With A Hammer,' 'I.D.G.A.F.,' 'End Of The Road,' 'Triple Trouble,' 'Invaders,' and 'Wonderland.' The release marks Hansen’s return to solo work following the recent Helloween reunion era and international tours."
