KAMELOT has announced the release of a new album titled 'Dark Asylum', set for August 28 via Napalm Records.
The album features fifteen interconnected compositions that continue the band's RavenHill narrative, blending orchestral passages, heavy guitar-driven arrangements, and character-based storytelling.
Two singles, 'Ashen World' and 'Godlike Alchemy', have been made available ahead of the release.
Longtime producer Sascha Paeth returns to oversee the project, with Jacob Hansen handling mixing and mastering.
Model Ignacia Fernández, crowned Miss World Chile 2025, makes a guest appearance on 'Ashen World' and 'Sanctuary'.
Formed in Florida in the early 1990s, KAMELOT has become one of the defining acts in modern symphonic and progressive power metal, with key albums including 'The Fourth Legacy', 'Karma', 'Epica', 'The Black Halo', 'Ghost Opera', 'Silverthorn', and 'The Awakening'.
The band has cultivated an international fanbase through its conceptual storytelling and ambitious live performances.
The new album marks a continuation of KAMELOT's thematic exploration, with production and creative direction led by Paeth.
The band confirmed that no tour dates have been canceled since 2015, citing a consistent track record that promotes reliability among fans.
Pre-sales for the upcoming North American tour have been described as 'fantastic', though Thomas Youngblood noted that current ticket-buying behavior remains a challenge for the music industry.
The release of 'Dark Asylum' represents a significant milestone in KAMELOT's ongoing evolution, reinforcing its commitment to artistic integrity and narrative depth in its music."
