Australian prog legends Karnivool has announced their long-awaited new record 'In Verses' will drop on February 6.

The band, known for their energetic live shows and thought-provoking lyrics, sat down with Metal Injection to discuss their influences.

Guitarists Drew Goddard and Mark "Hoss" Hosking, along with drummer Steve Judd, revealed their favorite bands, including funk fusion act Choose Your Weapon, sludge metal outfit Oceana, punk rock icons The Oils, Australian psychedelic rock band Tumbleweed (featuring the late Rob Hodge), and tropical psychedelia unit Tropical Fuck Storm.

They also mentioned their own experiences touring with other notable acts.

The band plans to tour extensively in support of the album, but specific dates have yet to be confirmed.
