In a new interview with Rock Of Nations With Dave Kinchen And Shane McEachern, Paul Stanley praised the much-anticipated KISS avatar show, which is tentatively due to premiere in 2027.
The technology being used for the KISS avatars, originally developed for ABBA's "Voyage" show in London, will allow KISS to stay “onthefull road” in retirement.
The technology being used allows for a highly immersive experience, with fire and flames all around the audience.
According to Gene Simmons, the avatar show will be staged “allaroundtheworld,” not just in Vegas.
The avatars are being financed and produced by Swedish company Pophouse Entertainment.
A preview of the KISS avatars was shown at Madison Square Garden in December 2023, where they appeared as fantasy-based superheroes.
KISS will reportedly become the first American band to go fully virtual and stage its own avatar show.
In a May interview with Billboard, Pophouse CEO Per Sundin discussed the avatar concert, stating that it would take place at more intimate sites than the Sphere.
The company has acquired KISS's publishing, recording royalties and trademarks for upwards of $300 million, according to Bloomberg and Associated Press.
