L7 Bassist Jennifer Finch Forced to Miss Summer Shows Due to Health Concern

L7 bassist Jennifer Finch has been forced to sit out the band's summer tour dates due to a recent health concern requiring extended treatment.

She will be temporarily replaced by Tsuzumi Okai, a former touring bassist for Limp Bizkit in 2018.,On May 31, L7 announced via social media that Finch would be unable to perform with the band at their upcoming summer shows.

The statement read: "Due to a recent health concern requiring extended treatment, Jennifer Finch will be unable to perform with L7 at our upcoming summer shows.

Tsuzumi Okai will be joining the band on bass for these dates.

We send Jennifer our love and support and ask that everyone respect her privacy.",L7's summer tour kicks off in the US on October 9, with stops in New York City, Washington D.C., Nashville, Chicago, Seattle and more.

The run wraps up with a hometown celebration in Los Angeles.

This comes ahead of "The Last Hurrah Tour", the first leg of L7's final world tour.,Formed in 1985, L7 has been a feminist rock staple for nearly four decades, blending punk ethos, heavy grunge, and socio-political anthems with humor.

The band went on hiatus from 2001 to 2015 before reuniting for a documentary titled "L7: Pretend We're Dead".

Their first album in two decades, "Scatter The Rats", was released via Joan Jett's Blackheart Records in May 2019.,With their self-titled debut album arriving in 1988 and subsequent releases including "Bricks Are Heavy" in 1992, "Hungry For Stink" in 1994, and "The Beauty Process: Triple Platinum" in 1997, L7 has maintained a storied discography.
