Jeff Beck, the influential and highly acclaimed guitarist who would have turned 82 today, left an indelible mark on rock music with his innovative playing style.

Speaking during a 2009 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, Beck declared: “Play the way you do because it allows you to come up with the sickest sounds possible.

That’s the point now, isn’t it? I don’t care about the rules.

In fact, if I don’t break the rules at least 10 times in every song, then I’m not doing my job properly.” Beck’s illustrious career spanned multiple iconic bands, including The Yardbirds and his own influential group, The Jeff Beck Group.

Their groundbreaking albums – “Truth” (1968) and “Beck-Ola” (1969) – have become touchstones for rock musicians seeking to push sonic boundaries.

Many notable artists today pay homage to Beck’s trailblazing influence.",
