In a recent interview with Gear4music Guitars, Wes Borland confirmed that LIMP BIZKIT has plans to enter the studio in August to work on new music.
When asked about their songwriting process, Borland explained that Fred Durst often comes up with ideas or that he does extensive riff writing before bringing it to the band.
The guitarist also shared that some of the band's best songs have come from improvisational sessions and jokes about how simple certain riffs were.
LIMP BIZKIT recently released a new single, "Making Love To Morgan Wallen," which marked their first new material since 2021's album "Still Sucks." The song was produced by Zakk Cervini and arrived in partnership with the video game "Battlefield 6." Prior to that release, LIMP BIZKIT had not put out a new studio LP since 2011.
Their most recent single debuted at No.
38 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart after opening with their song "Vibes," which was the first single from their album "Still Sucks." That album itself debuted at No.
7 on the Hard Rock Albums chart in November 2021.
LIMP BIZKIT bassist Sam Rivers passed away last October at age 48.
Rivers was born in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1977 and formed part of the original lineup with Durst and drummer John Otto.
The band is currently riding high after KORN claimed they were now their biggest act ever, but LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland humbly agreed that his own band was at an all-time high.
"We're so lucky," he said.
"I don't know exactly how it happened, but I think people… We just get along so well now, and everybody, we're adults, and we're still having fun doing it, and I think that translates to the audience.
