During an April appearance on SiriusXM's 'Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk', LYNYRD SKYNYRD vocalist Johnny Van Zant addressed the band's future, stating he and his bandmates will continue performing live as long as they can.

This comes after guitarist Gary Rossington hinted at his own mortality during a March interview, saying that 'Whenever I'm gone, man, I hope this music can carry on.' Van Zant emphasized that it's ultimately up to the fans, who have supported the band for 40 years and consider themselves part of 'Skynyrd Nation'.

This dedicated following has been present at every show throughout their summer tours.

Although LYNYRD SKYNYRD released its last album in 2012 and only one other song since, they continue to tour with FOREIGNER as co-headliners this summer.
