Maryann Cotton has announced her upcoming concept album, Chester Rose, The Legend Begins, set for release in October 2026 through Deko Entertainment.
The album explores the rise of a rock star amid themes of fame, love, hate, obsession, and bloodlust, blending cinematic storytelling with hard rock energy.
The record features songwriting contributions from Alice Cooper and the late Dick Wagner, who helped define landmark rock records including Welcome To My Nightmare, Goes To Hell, and Lace And Whiskey.
It marks their first full concept album together since Wagner's passing in 2022.
The project also includes the final recorded work featuring the iconic guitar partnership of Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner, a duo widely regarded as one of the greatest in classic rock history.
Additional contributions come from Hollywood Vampires guitarist Tommy Henriksen and longtime Maryann Cotton collaborator Hal Patino.
Drums are recorded by Rob Pierce.
The album is directed by Maryann Cotton and Dick Wagner and produced by Maryann Cotton.
The release follows a deep musical collaboration between Cotton and Wagner, who mentored her and inspired her early career.
Alice Cooper, a key influence on Cotton, contributed to the songwriting and advised on the inclusion of Steve Hunter, citing their guitar partnership as among the most significant in rock history.
The album does not aim to recreate the past but to honor and carry forward the legacy of these foundational rock artists."
