A massive new statue of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be unveiled at this year's edition of Hellfest, taking place from June 18 through June 21.
The six-meter-tall statue, the creation of emerging French sculptor Caroline Brisset, will be placed near the festival entrance.
Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's widow and longtime manager, revealed the first photo of the statue during a February 6 appearance at MIDEM 2026 in Cannes, France.
She expressed her gratitude to Hellfest director Ben Barbaud, saying "It's an amazing piece of art." The new statue replaces a sculpture of Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister, which was unveiled at Hellfest in June 2022 but had fallen into disrepair due to its crumbling plaster composition.
The upgraded Lemmy statue is part of Caroline Brisset's collection, featuring steel works that marry concrete and abstract forms to achieve a dreamlike effect.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76, from a heart attack.
His death certificate listed coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease as contributing factors.
The private funeral service for Ozzy was held on July 31, 2025, attended by around 110 friends and family members, including his BLACK SABBATH bandmates.
In the days leading up to the funeral, thousands of fans gathered in Birmingham to pay tribute to Ozzy.
Sharon Osbourne and their children also joined mourners for the emotional tribute.
