Power metal veterans MASTERPLAN have announced their new studio album, “Metalmorphosis,” set to release on June 26, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.

The official music video for the LP's fourth single, “The Call,” can be seen below.

MASTERPLAN is led by former HELLOWEEN guitarist Roland Grapow.

Grapow commented: '“The Call” is the most complex and controversial song on the album, but also, in our view, one of its most powerful.

It feels like a prayer \u2014 just written in a modern way.' He continued: 'We don't know \u2014 maybe I'm wrong.

But we still have a good combination of nice melodies on every song.' The band's new album will feature a mix of classic MASTERPLAN sound with some experimentation, blending power metal style with prog elements.

Grapow said: '“I think it’s still sounding like MASTERPLAN.

I mean, it’s my guitars, my arrangements, my mixing, kind of.' The album will also feature a couple of songs left out this time, including one very happy song that is not typical MASTERPLAN material but more like a HELLOWEEN song.

Grapow said: '“I think we went too far if we would use these two, three songs which are left.

One really is a very happy song, which is not typical MASTERPLAN; it's more like a HELLOWEEN song, to be honest.'
