Mastodon has officially announced the release of their upcoming album, titled 'The Hunter,' set for a global release on October 18, 2024.

The announcement was made via the band's official social media channels and their website, confirming the album will be available through their label, Warner Records.

'The Hunter' follows the band's 2022 release 'The Hunter' and marks their first new studio album since 2021's 'The Louds.' The album is expected to feature a blend of heavy riffs, melodic elements, and complex song structures characteristic of Mastodon's signature style.

The band has not yet revealed a full tracklist, but fans are being encouraged to stay tuned for a detailed preview in the coming weeks.

In a statement posted on Instagram, frontman Brent Huber said: 'This is a record that speaks to the wild, the untamed, and the pursuit of truth.

It's a journey through the forest, the fire, and the silence.

We made it with every ounce of energy and passion we have.' The announcement comes as Mastodon prepares for a massive world tour in late 2024, which will begin in Europe on November 1 and conclude in North America on December 15.

The tour will feature opening acts including Gojira and Animals as People, with stops in major cities including Berlin, London, Paris, Toronto, and Los Angeles.
